A recent surge has brought fire police membership up to 17 active members. Fire Police responsibility includes traffic control, crowd control, scene security, security of apparatus, and station security during fire calls. Fire Police also work with the police when needed performing road closures, traffic control, missing persons searched, parade details, etc.

Each member is a self contained traffic unit carrying flares, cones, flashlights, and all the needed equipment to shut down roads and sustain himself/herself for long periods of time.

Our assigned vehicle is a 2004 Tahoe SUV equipped for all fire emergencies and EMS situations.
